Some of the miscellaneous tasks I've been working on...
ACK ELT - I purchased an RJ-11 to terminal adapter to replace the phone wire with shielded wire. Mounted the remote panel near the pilot's display and air vent. Ordered some 3 and 4 wire shielded Tefzel wire.
RJ11 to terminal adapter. The black plastic near the plug had to be trimmed back for further insertion so the plug would lock in. |
Firewall penetration (throttle, alternators, ground). Saw a post on the RV forums for stainless steel shower rod curtain ends 4/$10 from a popular on line business. They're 3/4" ID and will work fine for the alternator wires.
SS shower curtain rod ends for firewall penetration. |
Static port holes opened (paint and micro had closed them up).
Pitot tube hole made in nose and bulkheads. Magnetic fields checked for ADAHRS location.
Throttle cable mounted, mounting bracket spacers were needed for correct geometry. Ordered some 1/4 x 20 1" drilled head bolts to bolt the throttle bracket to the cold air sump. Mcmaster-Carr has a bag of 10 for $12.
I made 4 annular slot antennas. Two for transponders and two for ADSB. |
The Adel clamps on the push rod tubes weren't recommended by a DAR and an IA. I removed them and reattached the clamps to the cylinder baffling. |
An aftermarket Superior cold air sump bracket for the throttle cable. Some .060" spacers were needed to lower the bracket to allow vertical clearance when going full throttle. |
Crazed Pilot/ACS "high accuracy" Hall effect current sensor. |
